Drop In Play Program
This program provides the opportunity for parents/caregivers and their children ages 0-6 to “drop in” the Centre during the morning or afternoon. Age appropriate toys, educational materials, puzzles, etc. are provided. A snack is also provided.
Baby and Me Program
This program is for parents/caregivers and children ages 0-24 months. It provides a wonderful setting for new parents to discuss the joys and the challenges of having a new baby. Parents share stories and advice on topics such as feeding, naps, and caring for themselves and baby. A snack is provided. This program is sibling-friendly.
Reading Circle
Each week this program has activities planned around a theme, for example animals, numbers, holidays, alphabet, etc. Children have the opportunity for playtime; then parents/caregivers and the children gather together for story time. After story time, the parents/caregivers and children complete a craft together that relates to the story. A nutritious snack is provided. This program is geared towards children 2-6 years; however, younger children are welcome to attend.
My Little Chef.
This program involves parents/caregivers and children making yummy, kid-friendly recipes. For this program, we ask parents to seek childcare for any younger children as this program requires the full attention of the parent. This program is offered at different times throughout the year. Kid Concoctions
This fun–filled program (with a little science twist) involves parents/caregivers and children making different things such as clay, body paints, etc. This program is offered at different times throughout the year. See the monthly calendar for details.
Colors-n-Kids.
This is a wonderful program with activities that make learning about colors lots of fun! This program is offered at different times throughout the year. See the monthly calendar for details.
Being the Best Me
This program has activities that encourage good hygiene, eating healthy and following a good sleep routine. This program is offered at different times throughout the year. See the monthly calendar for details.
Book of the Month Program
The Centre encourages reading and early literacy activities so every month a child who participates in the programs receives a book, a certificate and a bookmark.
Parent Resource Library
The Centre has a variety of resources available that parents/caregivers can sign out for two-week periods. Materials such as potty training books and car seat DVDs are examples of items available.
