Colin Holloway - Chairperson
Colin Holloway has been an employee of the Public Service for 21 years. During this time, he has held several regional positions including Child Management Specialist, Senior Therapist for the Provincial Autism Pilot and Regional Planner with the former Strategic Social Plan and worked with the Department of Social Services, the Department of Human Resources Labour & Employment, and the Health & Community Services Eastern Board.

| He currently holds the position of Regional Partnership Planner andis responsible for the Clarenville-Bonavista Rural Secretariat region.
Colin has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. As well, Colin is a certified trainer in Applied Behaviour Analysis through Harvard University.
Colin has extensive background in community leadership, partnership development, strategic planning, financial management, board governance, and public policy. He has authored several documents on the social and economic development of the Eastern region. Of particular importance is his work on Community Schools and Integrated Land Use Planning.
Colin has extensive experience in group facilitation including recent work with various communities in his region which are exploring such issues as self-governance, sustainability planning and community visioning.
Colin has lead numerous new regional initiatives including the Community Advisory Board on Affordable and Sustainable Housing, the establishment of a Community Youth Network for the Clarenville-Isthmus region, and the exploration of child care services for the region.
As a community volunteer, Colin resides in Port Blandford and he has served on many boards including the former Vista School Board, the Clarenville and Area Alternative Measure Program, and the Official Board of the Port Blandford Pastoral Charge. Colin is the Chairperson for the Neighbourhood of Friends Family Resource Centre, as well as a volunteer with the Clarenville SPCA and an executive board member for the Clarenville-Bonavista Branch of Crime Stoppers. |

Garry Gosse - Vice-Chairperson
Garry Gosse is currently the Recreation Director for the Town of Clarenville. He has a diploma from the College of Trades and Technology in Business and another in Community Recreation. He moved from St. John’s in 1976 and has been the Recreation Director for Clarenville ever since. He enjoys hiking, golfing and camping with his wife, Kathy. He has three grown children, Michelle, Stephen and Shannon and one grandchild, Joey, who is his pride and joy. |

Marilyn Greene -Treasurer
Marilyn is originally from St John's but has been living in
Clarenville since 1985 with her husband and two boys aged 22 and 16. She attended Memorial University in St John’s and Laurentian University in Sudbury, Onatrio, where she studied Social Work. She is involved in a volunteer capacity as the Chair of the Clarenville Youth Justice Committee and serves on the Board of the Clarenville Area Recreation Committee, The Committee for Peaceful Communities, |
| The Clarenville Curling Association and the local chapter of Crimestoppers. She is also a trainer with the Provincial Governments "Violence Action Awareness Training (VAAT) Initiative". She is currently employed with the Provincial Government’s Department of Human Resources, Labor and Employment as a Client Services Officer at the Clarenville district office. |

Marie Butt -Secretary
Marie was a founding member of the area's Tiny Tots program 15 years ago and now serves on the Board of Directors of the Neighbourhood of Friends Family Resource Centre as Secretary and as a Parent/Community Representative for Swift Current. She is owner/operator of her own business, Marie's Beauty Salon, and works with Eastern School District on a call in basis as a Student Aid. Marie is an active community volunteer who serves on the School Council and |
| helps run the school's breakfast program. She resides in Swift Current with her husband, Shawn; their three children, Jacob, Jeremy, and Jolene; and the family dog, Duke. |

Whyte Horlick - Director
Whyte was born and raised in Trinity, Bonavista Bay. After graduating from St. Augustine’s Central High in 1976, he attended Memorial University where he completed a B.A., B.Ed. and M.Ed. He spent three years as a Loans Officer with Scotiabank prior to moving to Musgravetown in 1984 to accept a teaching position at Musgravetown High School. In the sixteen years that he worked at Musgravetown High, he served as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. For

| the past six years, he has worked at the Vista Regional Office as a Senior High Program Specialist. In September of 2007, he was appointed Senior Education Officer for the Vista Region of Eastern School District.
Whyte currently lives in Bloomfield with his wife Mary. They have two sons and one granddaughter, all living in Ottawa. |
